Eiji Kato is Country Head, Epson India

Mumbai: Epson announced the appointment of Eiji Kato as the new Country Head to spearhead its India operations. Kato is an Epson veteran with over two decades of experience working in and leading multiple businesses across the Seiko-Epson portfolio in Asia and Europe including electronic devices(ED), original equipments manufacturing (OEM) and visual instruments (VI).

Kato replaces Etsuo Fujita who moves back to Japan after six years in India. During Fujita's tenure in India the Epson brand has grown in strength and has emerged as the market leader in India in several segments including dot matrix printers, photo printers, bill printers and projectors.

Commenting on his appointment Kato said, “While the Indian Market has grown in importance, it has also rapidly become a fruitful one for us. As we step into a new business year, we are faced with a unique challenge that has stretched itself across the globe. At Epson India, we see this challenge as a special opportunity to deliver more to our customers and to enhance the businesses of each of our esteemed partners.”
