Elitecore enables BSNL rollout WiMAX services

Elitecore Technologies has rolled out WiMAX service on its core network and
session control software platform EliteAAA for BSNL in both rural and urban
circles. BSNL plans to have 1.8 million subscribers using its services in rural
Indian areas.

Elitecore's EliteAAA deployed by BSNL is compliant to latest WiMAX forum NWG
standards and supports EAP-TTLS & EAP-TLS and certificate-based authentication.
The key differentiation offered to BSNL was multi-vendor support with different
QoS parameters in EliteAAA in a single deployment, thereby eliminating vendor
lock-in which was critical for BSNL having a huge geographic spread.

The EliteAAA is integrated with Huawei and Point Red ASN gateways and
existing upstream billing system. It is access network agnostic which supports
multiple networks and services on the same platform.
