Embarcadero expands presence in India

Embarcadero Technologies, provider of cross-platform database tools announced
plans to expand its presence in India by signing a distribution agreement with
Softcell Technologies. Softcell will offer the complete range of Embarcadero's
cross-platform database management products, including ER/Studio, EA/Studio,
DBArtisan, Rapid SQL, Change Manager and DSAuditor. Embarcadero's range of data
modeling and data architecture tools enable businesses to improve productivity
and reduce complexity when designing applications on databases such as Oracle,
Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 and MySQL.

Recently, Embarcadero announced its international expansion plans,
highlighting India as one of the key developing economies it is targeting for
growth. Michael Lohmann, Director-APAC, Embarcadero said, "Our model-driven
approach ensures that data architects and business users can collaborate
effectively through clear documentation and common business definitions that can
provide significant competitive advantages."
