Excelacom sets up software production unit in Siruseri

US-based IT solution provider Excelacom Technologies has set up a software
product-producing unit in Siruseri, near Chennai. Launching its state of art
infrastructure in the IT hub SPICOT at Siruseri, the company's MD Majid
Nanerkhani said, "We have come to India to tap into its resources. Our
products developed here would cater to our clients in US."

"The first phase of the proposed three has been completed and a head
count of 1,000 would be recruited as an initial step and the head count would be
increased to 3,000 before the second phase of the company starts in 2009. Those
recruited would be provided with quality training and would be hosted up to
serve our clients in US and India simultaneously," Nanerkhani added.

The software product developed here in Chennai is for the wireless LAN
technology and is to be utilized in the mobile phones in order to help users
view the social networking sites on mobile phones. For this purpose Excelacom is
said to be in touch with the leading vendors in the handset industry.

"Social networking has increased dramatically and to access those sites
on mobile phones would be the future trend as every thing would be mobile based
in the near future," Nanerkhani commented.

"We have planned to recruit employees through the campus recruitment
process. We feel that quality education is provided in India and people here
have abundant technical skills. We want to utilize those skills for the growth
of the industry," Dinesh Dhanasekaran, VP, Excelacom Technologies said.

Nanerkhani indicated that Excelacom would enter the Indian market for
providing solutions. "We have to carry on out our operations through the
channel as we are not aware of the Indian IT trade industry," he added.
