F-Secure launches Protection Service for business

F-Secure has launched its Protection Service for Business (PSB), which is
delivered as a service through a certified Value Added Reseller (VAR) and
targeted at SMB customers.. For those SMB's that do have IT departments the
solution has an easy-to-use web-based management interface. PSB is an automated
security package providing constantly updated protection against

all Internet-based threats, even for mobile users. It combines ease of use
with fully featured online protection for SMBs.

"F-Secure's new Protection Service for Business is a service, and as
such highly cost-effective. It allows small and medium sized companies to focus
their time and resources on running their businesses instead of struggling to
keep up with the constantly evolving security threats," says a company
release.

The launch of F-Secure PSB presents an opportunity for IT resellers to offer
security services to the SMB sector. Part of the F-Secure PSB solutions is the
advanced management portal, which allows a reseller to manage all its customers
from the same management account.

F-Secure's "Security as a Service" solution has been developed for
value-added resellers and service provider partners, enabling them to offer
managed IT security as part of their service portfolio. It also enables
additional services to be offered on top of the PSB hosted service.

PSB protects desktop computers, laptops and file servers against viruses,
spyware and hidden malware. It includes features such as automatic security
signatures, client software updates and management system upgrades. The security
status of both office computers and moving laptops can be equally monitored. PSB
is easy to install, deploy and configure and includes 25 language localizations.
