Fiat Group deploys Xerox's MPS worldwide

Corporation announced a global
contract to manage Fiat Group's print operations. The five-year
managed print services (MPS) agreement will help the auto-focused
industrial group reduce operational costs by an estimated 30 percent,
and support its growing sustainability agenda.

Companies worldwide are increasingly
adopting MPS to uncover new ways to save money, according to a recent
report by a research and analysis firm Quocirca. Nearly 70 percent of
companies surveyed view printing as a strategic priority.

Working with Xerox, Fiat Group will use
MPS to better manage its company-wide print spend and drive cost out
of its global IT infrastructure. The MPS strategy will help Fiat
Group operate more efficiently by consolidating the number of output
devices and redirecting print jobs to the most cost-effective
machine. Xerox's management and preemptive servicing of equipment
will help employees stay productive throughout the day. Fiat Group
will also use tools such as Xerox's sustainability calculator to
support its commitment to environmental sustainability and reduce
energy use by 50 percent.

Xerox was positioned by Gartner, in the href="http://www.dqweek.com/Indian-printer,-copier-and-MFP-market-grew-35-percent-in-Q4-2009">
leaders quadrant in the 'Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services
Worldwide' for 2009 and the company was named MPS market leader in
Quocirca's 2009 European MPS report. Xerox was also the first to
offer Enterprise Print Services which helps companies manage
documents across their global print infrastructure-from the office
to the in-house print center to the virtual workplace.
