FITAG to hold convention on Dec 19

Ahmedabad In a bid to create solidarity between numerous IT associations and channel partners in Gujarat. Federation of IT Association of Gujarat (FITAG) is planning to hold an IT convention on Dec19 in Ahmedabad. The association is planning to use the infrastructure being set-up by Ahmedabad Computer Media Association (ACMA) for their IT fair, which is being held from Dec 18-24. 350 members from various IT associations will take part in the convention.

Sharing details about the convention, Kaushik Pandya, President, FITAG pointed out, “The idea behind holding the convention is to give channel partners in Gujarat an understanding about emerging business opportunities in the field of information technology.

We will be inviting several government bodies and vendors to give the channel an understanding about the future of IT in Gujarat. We will also extend a certificate to all the participating members during the event.”

The association is planning to invite representatives from Manufacturer's Association of Information Technology (MAIT) to share their perspective on the growing opportunities and trends as far as IT industry in Gujarat is concerned. Currently the Gujarat government is extending support to the IT industry with a host of IT related products and solutions being offered by SMB industries in the state. A lot of IT investment is also happening in cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Baroda among others.

In addition to this, FITAG will also be launching its official website during the convention. The website will provide details around the members of various associations across Gujarat. The website will also provide updates on FITAG's plans and activities.
