Fujitsu expands footprints in India

Fujitsu Ltd plans to set up offices in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad to
expand its business in India. The company already has offices in Bangalore and
Delhi.

Fujitsu is offering customer-focused information technology and
communications solutions to help MNCs in India meet the challenges with regards
to potential customers. The company plans to work closely with independent
software vendors to generate business leads for them.

Venu Reddy, Senior Manager - Software and Services Research Asia-Pacific,
IDC pointed out that one of the problems that MNCs in India faced was that
companies changed their relationship with vendors every six months. This makes
it difficult for them to come up with permanent solutions for the company. He
also pointed out that companies favored long-term transactions with regard to IT
solutions. Quoting a survey, Fujitsu said MNCs prefer to outsource because
vendors are able to match up to the corporate thinking and understand the
industry and thus are capable of coming up with industry-related solutions.
