Gigabyte launches ultra mobile personal computer (UMPC)

Gigabyte UMPC launched in June 2007 at Computex is now available in India.
With its ultra portable design and features like light weight (only 740g), 6.5
inch LCD touch screen UMPC-U60 comes with wireless network for instant e-mailing
and video conferencing and enables users to enjoy on-the-go network connection
to share information at home or outside. Regardless of the location, it can be
used in a hand-held mode of operation and has a satellite navigation module.

On the launch of the product VP-Sales Shekhar Kulkarni said, "UMPC, is a
new category of mobile computing devices that support increasingly mobile
lifestyles. We believe that UMPC will eventually become as indispensable and
ubiquitous as mobile phones are today. UMPC helps users on the go, who need to
keep informed, entertained and connected via the full functionality of a Windows
PC."
