Gigabyte launches UMPC

Gigabyte UMPC launched in June 2007 at Computex is now available in India.
With its ultra-portable design and features like light in weight (only 740g),
6.5-inch LCD touch screen UMPC-U60 comes with wireless network for instant
e-mailing and video conferencing, and enables users to enjoy on-the-go network
connection to share information at home or outside. Regardless of the location,
it can be used in a hand-held mode of operation and has a satellite navigation
module.

On the launch of the product, Shekhar Kulkarni VP-Sales, Gigabyte said, "UMPC
is a new category of mobile computing devices that support increasingly mobile
lifestyles. We believe that UMPC will eventually become as indispensable and
ubiquitous as mobile phones are today."
