Gigabyte Technologies will concentrate more on increasing the strength of its
RMA centers. Presently, it has around 16 RMA centers, and wants to increase the
strength of RMA centers from 16 to 32.
Rajan Sharma, GM-Motherboards, Gigabyte Technology said, “We will be now
concentrating on B and C-class cities. Already 60 percent of our business has
been coming from metros but we now want the upcountry regions to perform well
for us.”
Presently, Gigabyte has around 400 active channel partners in the country,
and it wants to add another 100 to it by the year-end. It will increase the
number of RMA centers, which will help customers and channel partners, as
service issues will become simple. “We are also looking at selling high-end
products like Intel G-33, D-35 and X-38. The new RMA centers will be set-up in
Nagpur, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Hubli, Trivandrum, Jammu, Pondicherry
and Patna,” added Sharma.
For its graphic cards, Gigabyte has appointed TechnoÂlogy and Gadgets (TAG)
as its exclusive business partners. “We will now start participating in events,
which are related to gaming, and also will arrange events in college campuses,”
Sharma noted. Gigabyte is already running a program called Channel Incentive
Program and every quarter it has a gold scheme where it distributes gold medals
to best performing channel partners.
