Gigabyte unveils motherboards based on Intel 915G/P chipsets

Digi Giga Systems has launched two new Gigabyte motherboards GA-8I915G-MF and GA-8I915P-MF based on Intel
915G/P (Grantsdale) chipsets. The boards feature the latest LGA 775 P4 processor with Hyper-Threading technology and
supports DDR 400/333.

According to the press release, these boards provide a broad range of peripheral connections by offering IEEE 1394a and
USB 2.0 for high-speed data transfer, and high speed Serial ATA for connection of storage devices.
They also offer multimedia advancements through PCI-Express for outstanding graphics output, doubling that of the current AGP8X interface.

For improved networking, Gigabit LAN provides LAN connection at a fast  network connection speed of up to 1,000 Mbps.
The boards also feature Shieldware, which includes pack of software feature elements that are easy
to use and focused on making computing both simple and straightforward. The company claims that these boards give home theater-quality sound with your
PC using Intel high definition audio for enhanced multi-channel audio, improved voice and communication input and multi-streaming capability. 

GA-8I915G-MF has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900, for newest integrated graphics, packed with 4 pixel pipelines
and core-speed of 333MHz. With support of DirectX 9.0 capabilities and OpenGL 1.4, it provides good
graphics quality while gaming.

GA-8I915G-MF and GA-8I915P-MF are available in the market at a street price of Rs 8,900 and Rs 8,300 respectively with three-year warranty.
