HCL Infosystems inaugurated its enterprise resource center (ERC) in
Puducherry. Operating primarily as managed service provider (MSP), HCL
Infosystems's ERC would be a part of the remote infrastructure management (RIM).
The ERC will be using and deploying various remote support and management tools
that will virtually allow ERC to control and manage the customer's entire IT
operations off-site. This high-tech facility was inaugurated by the Chief

Commenting on the occasion, JV Ramamurthy, President and COO, HCL Infosystems
said, "With a vision to transform HCL Infosystems into a services and solution
centric organization, inauguration of ERC at Puducherry, is one such step in the
direction. Technologies for remote support and management are rapidly moving
forward by leaps and bounds worldwide and it is imperative for a growing
organization like ours to capitalize on its reach and offer support that can
truly be unique to our customers. The remote support will improve call response
time, closure time and thus customer satisfaction. HCL Infosystems ERC will
deliver efficient and effective services in lieu of on ground support operations
of making customer visit for support call."

With the launch of the enterprise resource center, HCL has become the first
ICT company to set up a knowledge hub in Puducherry. The facility, that is
spread over 6300 sq ft has deployed world-class, high technology managed
services and tools for remote access, developed by HCL R&D labs.

The facility is manned by highly qualified and experienced technical experts
on various platforms and operating environment. Specialized help desks have been
set up with 100 DID numbers for call handling. The facility also has a test lab
and manufacturing along with in-house R&D making it a unique and reliable
support hub.
