HDS names Kevin Eggleston as Senior VP and GM

Bengaluru: Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) announced the appointment of Kevin Eggleston as the new Senior VP and GM of Asia Pacific with immediate effect.

His last position was the Regional VP of the Western Region in the United States. The focus of Eggleston's new role is to continue with the growth momentum in the Asia Pacific region.

“The position as the Asia Pacific Head for the company is extremely critical and requires strong, experienced global field leadership to drive the success of Hitachi Data Systems,” said Randy E DeMont, Executive VP and GM-Worldwide Sales, Services and Support, HDS.

Commenting on his new role, Eggleston said, “I am excited to embark on the new challenge entrusted to me. Asia Pacific is a fascinating region in terms of business potential and the diversity that it represents. HDS has a high performance team in Asia Pacific and an amazing set of solutions that help customers to maximize return on assets, reduce operating costs and build an economically optimized storage environment. Eggleston is an IT veteran with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining HDS in 2005, Eggleston had served various sales and leadership positions in the United States, Latin America and the Asia South Pacific region at StorageTek and BlueArc.
