Bangalore: Hitachi Data Systems has completed its pan India partner program
in 11 cities. The meet was held between the 6th and 29th of last month on the
occasion of the official launch of Hitachi Simple Modular Storage Model 100 (HSMS
100). Speaking during the launch, Rahul Guha, Director, Channel Development,
Hitachi Data Systems, said, "We have aggressive goals to meet the SMB space in
India. As a channel driven company, we have good presence in the B and C class
cities here. With the new product we are targeting the SMB market and hope to
maximize on the growth opportunities there along with our distributor partner
Ingram Micro."
The cities that were targeted for the partner meet were Coimbatore, Cochin,
Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi and
Kolkata. The Bangalore event witnessed the maximum number of attendees. The
program highlighted the benefits, features, and other value adds of the HSMS
100. The idea behind the partner program, according to Guha was to penetrate
into new markets and grow business with existing customers.
Speaking about the partner initiatives from Hitachi Data Systems, Guha said,
"We have been continuously involved in educating our partners through our
various training and education programs. These programs give our partners
confidence and help us to generate business. It is because of such programs and
our service network that we have been able to retain our partners."
Commenting on this partner program, Sharat Gupta from Ingram Micro said, "As
a distributor with a good countrywide partner network, we are targeting the SMB
space and venturing to new tier two and tier three cities with the new product.
Along with Hitachi Data Systems we hope to maximize on the market opportunities
thereof."
