Hitachi introduces application optimized storage solutions - CYBERMEDIA NEWS

Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS) has announced the launch of application optimized storage solutions, which combine HiCommand business and application modules with high performance/high availability Hitachi storage systems. 

According to the press release, this combination enables customers to precisely match business application requirements to Hitachi storage system attributes (performance, availability, and data value), leveraging the application-centric management capabilities of the HiCommand Storage Area Management Suite. 

The release further states that specifically, today's announcements includes the latest version of HiCommand storage services manager, an integral part of the HiCommand storage area management suite, HiCommand path provisioning, HiCommand QoS for Sybase, HiCommand tuning manager 3.3, and the Thunder 9585V ultra high-end modular storage system. 

"With our application optimized storage solutions, customers can finally bridge the gap between business application needs and IT's ability to precisely deliver service levels," said HDS country manager India PP

"Our HiCommand software's application-centric view enables a set service-level to ensure applications are optimized to deliver the greatest business value. Hitachi's hardware and software storage systems provide the supporting foundation with a range of products which enable customers to deploy storage according to the application's performance, availability, and cost requirements," he added.
