Hewlett-Packard announced its leadership position in the overall disk
storage market category capturing 27.7% market share in customer revenues and
31.5 percent in terabyte capacity, according to IDC 3Q 2005 figures. HP recorded
a 25.7% revenue growth in the overall market 3Q 05 over 3Q 04 and sequentially,
the revenue grew by 21.8% in 3Q 05 as comÂpared to 2Q 05. In the same quarter,
HP has also secured the No one position in external disk storage marÂket with a
market share of 25.1%, in customer reveÂnue terms and 26.2% in terms of
terabyte capacity.
