HP launches integrated campus management solution

Hewlett-Packard India (HP) in collaboration with Dimensions Innovation Labs
(Dimensions) announced the launch of 'Campus management solution'- to facilitate
effectiveness and efficiency in campus administration.

Campus Dimensions - the flagship product of Dimensions is a fully integrated
campus management solution with special features including central database,
Smart ID cards aimed to optimize resources in campus administration.

Dimensions estimate that with 2500 professional education colleges and 300
universities, India offers a huge potential for campus integration solutions.
The company estimates the market size for the year 2007-2010 for campus ERP, as
Rs.4000 crore and underlying hardware as Rs.7000 crore. Currently, only five
percent of the institutes in India have an ERP system in place.

The new solution will provide campus wide integrated information systems
covering all functional areas and automate core managerial activities including
admissions, academics, examinations, fees, placements, alumni, finance, purchase
thus augmenting the institute's brand image at the same time improving bottom
and top line profitability. Packed with over 22 modules the solution ensures
integration of administrative functions and better co-ordination between
departments.
