Kolkata: HP has unveiled a new series of printers based on inkjet technology.
The company claimed that introduction of 20 new products is part of HP's new
Print 2.0 strategy, by which HP hopes to expand its personal and business inkjet
product range.
Commenting on the launch, Ashwini K Aggarwal, Country Business Manager-Consumer
Imaging and Printing Products, IPG, HP India said, "With Print 2.0, HP is set
to extend its reach into the SMB segment. For home consumers, we are offering
new features to enable them to print and share their content."
Priced between Rs 2,799 to Rs 19,999, the new inkjet series comprises of
seven HP all in ones, three HP deskjets, three HP photosmarts, six HP officejets
and one HP scanjet. "These printers are web 2.0 enabled and help web pages
directly," said Aggarwal.
HP is planning to target 60 cities in Q1 of 2008 for channel roadshows and
training programs around the new product range. Additionally, the company will
be focusing aggressively on upcountry locations and plans to leverage the
existing 400 exclusive HP retail outlets for demonstration of the new range.
