HP outlines strategy for inkjet printing segment

HP India has announced an aggressive personal printing strategy that
demonstrates its commitment to grow the all-in-one (AIO) market, expand the
photo printing market and sustain growth of the single function category.
Additionally, the company has also launched three new AIOs: PS 1608, OJ 7208 and
OJ 6208.

The OfficeJet 7208 AIO features networking capability that allows high
performance tools to be shared upto five computers. The product offers 802.3
Ethernet networking capability and printing and copying speed of upto 30 ppm for
black and 20ppm for color. It is priced at Rs 17,499 plus sales tax.

The OfficeJet 6208 AIO offers high quality faxing in color and black and
white at 33.6 kbps and upto 100 pages of fax memory. It is priced at Rs 11,999
plus sales tax. The PSC 1608 AIO enables users to print high quality photo with
the Vivera inks and upto 4800-optimised dpi resolution. With an integrated
multi-card memory card reader and PictBridge compatibility, users can print
photos directly from the AIO. It is priced at Rs 8,999 plus sales tax.

HP India Consumer Products Market Development Manager, Rajiv Rao said,
"To continue our leadership in the personal printing space, we have adopted
a four-pronged approach. We will work towards further simplifying solutions for
the customer."

Additionally, the vendor plans to fortify its channel structure for improved
customer experience. Special training and demo sessions, a local country call
center, Internet and e-support and India repair center will form a key part of
HP's strategy for the Indian market will be the key highlights of the customer
support strategy for India.
