HPL Socomec to set up Rs 100 cr manufacturing unit

HPL Socomec, a JV between HPL India, manufacturer of switchgears, protection meters and UPS, and Socomec S.A. France, a switchgear company in Europe,
have announced the setting up of its new plant in Himachal Pradesh. This endeavor is being undertaken on the occasion of the company's 10th
anniversary.

This plant will be built on four acres of land with an investment of Rs 100
crore. The partnership between HPL Group & Socomec S.A. France in India spreads over 12 years, three manufacturing
companies, a workforce of over 500 people and a product portfolio of three groups for switchgears, metering and UPS. As of today the turnover of the JV
in India stands at Rs 165 crore (EURO 30 million) and is expected to grow sharply in spite of the arduous competitive edge in terms of quality,
service and ready availability.
