Huawei showcases latest WiMAX solutions in India

Huawei Technologies exhibited its mobile WiMAX solutions in Mumbai and Delhi
last month to leading India based telecom operators. More than 500 senior
executives from Huawei India's customer base from Reliance, Vodafone, Tata
Indicom, Bharti Airtel, Aircel, BPL Mobile, Idea, BSNL, MTNL among others in
Delhi and Mumbai visited Huawei's WiMAX exhibition vehicle for a live service
demo.

Huawei's WiMAX exhibition vehicle (live service demo) started its global tour
exhibition in November 2007, and India is the first destination. As a floating
exhibition hall, visitors can see Huawei's WiMAX end-to-end products ranging
from base station to ASN-gateway, and experience abundant wireless broadband
service. The IMS services are integrated with WiMAX, supporting video
conference; Void and multimedia ring back tone services, providing the same
service quality as wired broadband services.

According to Max Yang, CEO, Huawei India, "The future communication
network is All IP-based FMC (Fixed-mobile Convergence) network and Huawei's aim
is to enable users enjoy the seamless convergent experience anytime, anywhere,
and via any terminal. Huawei mobile WiMAX solution will help operators build a
cost-effective mobile broadband network converging 2G/3G, NGN/IMS networks and
create potential growth for its customers."
