Nitesh
Bhandari took over Texonic at a very young age of 22 years. The
company was started by his father Mahaveer Bandari in 1969 focusing
on electronic components business. Half-a-decade later, Texonic's
first branch was started in Bengaluru with the distribution business
of the electronic components of all major brands. His hard work
started bearing fruits in 1995 when the company started distributing
D-Link's products. With a BA degree in corporate secretaryship,
dreams in eyes and responsibilities on shoulders, Nitesh, entered the
organization. Being a hard worker, Nitesh received the 'Best
Distributor' award for

products in 2000. With successful
innings in the networking and cabling distribution business, Texonic
started distributing CCTV cameras in 2003. Later, Texonic started
flying high with partnerships with foreign companies.
THE
STRUGGLE
Texonic did
not have a cake-walk. Even though with many employees and branches
spread across the country, Nitesh still remembers the bitter moments
in the business. “There were many challenges, but to prioritize, it
was the state-wise difference in the taxation system. Whenever a
government changed, there was a change in the tax structure and we
were compelled to change everything over night,” said 37-year-old
Nitesh. However, at the time of such crisis, we as a team, planned
accordingly and ensured that the business does not derail anywhere.
Speaking about the team, Nitesh informed that his team's working
style is the biggest strength and source of success. “Even though I
am a CEO, I always feel that I am also one of the many employees
of Texonic,”
shared Nitesh. He added that the organization was built on strong
ethical values and a comfortable work zone. “Whatever may be the
issue, be it related to the employees or business, employees discuss
the issue with the management and arrive on a conclusion. Till date
we follow this policy and that is the main reason for our successful
business,” said Nitesh. He also added that having boss like
attitude towards employees will never give positive results.
WHAT WE
BELIEVE IN
Nitesh firmly
believes in upgradation of self as well as the products. “When each
day the electronics business is updating, how can we, as a
stakeholder be far away from the latest trend?” questioned Nitesh,
who likes to read latest technology books. He said that in
technology, what was booming yesterday is of no use today and its
life may end tomorrow. So, one has to be prepared anytime to run
with the changing trend. Texonic's concerns are more on service
than sales. “You can sell a pro duct easily. But it is difficult to
provide a satisfactory service. Selling is a mat ter of few minutes,
but, service is a long-term process,” added Nitesh.
IN TIME
TO
COME
“We are in
the process of expanding our business. Though we have branches in all
parts of
India, but in future, I would like to start more branches,” said
Nitesh.
FLIP SIDE
OF HIS BUSINESS LIFE
Nitesh starts
his official day at 9 am and ends by 7 pm. He enjoys every moment of
his life spent with his two sons—Anish (11) and Arnav (7). “I
have seen many businessmen concentrating only on business and
ignoring family affairs. But, I never made an attempt similar to
their paths,” said Nitesh. He added that he dedicates every Sunday
for his family. Nitesh's role-model is his father. “I sometimes
wonder how my dad actively concentrates on business as well as
satisfy the needs of family members. Besides, I have never witnessed
an event when my dad failed to participate in community-related
activities,” recalled Nitesh. Moreover, Nitesh every year 'escapes'
from his routine life and go on a holiday. His favorite tourism spot
is New Zealand.
POLICY OF
LIFE
As an advice
to the wannabe tech-entrepreneurs, he informed about his
self-experimented formula-“Update with the time and technology.
The moment you fail to update, you will be out of the race”. Even
though Nitesh is completely involved with electronics business, he
said that he wants to open a restaurant. Apart from his work, Nitesh
always visits his alma mater and meet his class mates during the
alumni meet at DG Vaishnav College, Chennai. “I believe in the
principle of not keeping any regrets and complaints,” informed
Nitesh.
IN LOVE
Nitesh always
had a concern that he is not actively involved in any social
activity. But, he has plans of many social initiatives and soon will
aggressively involve in philanthropy. The other side of his life is
interesting. He had a love marriage. “Both of us knew each other
well before we fell in love. But, we had only two month interval
between our engagement and marriage. So we could not spend time like
routine lovers,” disclosed Nitesh. If Nitesh actively works in
office, his wife, as a perfect home-maker, takes care of family and
kids.
LOVER OF
IDLY AND DOSA
Apart from
business and family, Nitesh loves to spend his leisure time by
playing squash, doing
yoga and singing songs. He likes South Indian food. “My favorite
food item is idly
and dosa,” concluded Nitesh.
