IBM appoints Dynacons as WSP

In commensuration of its high-end performance with IBM, Dynacons Systems
& Solutions has been appointed as Warranty Service Provider (WSP) by IBM. A
WSP is an independent IBM business partner, appointed by IBM to provide service
and warranty for its various products.

According to the BSE website, Dynacons would provide warranty services, on
behalf of IBM for its products. This recognition by IBM is expected to help the
company in speedy growth of business based on IBM products, including high-end
IT infrastructure solutions based on multiple platforms, complete networking and
integration support.

Also, IBM Global Services India, an information technology services and
consulting provider, opened up its fifth global delivery center (GDC) in
Hyderabad. Having set up its facility in the MindSpace IT park, Madhapur,
Hyderabad, IBM has decided to employ 1,000 professionals in Hyderabad by the end
of 2005.

According to IBM India MD, Shanker Annaswamy, "This facility will focus
on application management and development. It will provide support and services
for global customers in competencies like Mainframe, SAP, Siebel and
others."

IBM India has four other delivery centers in Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, and
Gurgaon and employs around 23,000 professionals. With presence in 40 cities and
250 partners, the company intends to leverage on the best of the technologies to
build and enhance their service offerings to its customers.

Inaugurating the facility, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajashekar
Reddy said, "The state witnessed phenomenal growth in the IT exports. With
companies like IBM and others setting up facilities in Hyderabad, we are excited
about the growing potential of IT in the state. Furthering this, we are taking
initiatives to ensure there are no infrastructure problems and equally promoting
and developing tier-two cities like Vizag."
