This is part of IBM's strategy to be a keystone partner for a diverse group of application vendors, which reflects its customers' heterogeneous computing environments. The vendor continues to offer partner programs, built around unmatched go-to-market benefits and market-leading middleware.

Mukul Mathur, Country Manager, Channels & CSI at IBM India informed, “The purpose of the event was to showcase to our end customers how IBM, along with its regional ISVs can help address their business plan. The event included presentations from IBM on the overall On-Demand strategy for server infrastructure and middleware solutions.

Pre-emptive, C1 India, Nexstep and Matrix were some of the ISVs who participated in the event. Nexstep MD, Shabbir Imani added, “As ISVs create new application markets, IBM creates the infrastructure and open middleware foundation to support them. This strategy allows them to focus on their core activity (ie creating a thriving supply of applications in the market), while IBM focuses on its capabilities (ie solving complex IT infrastructure challenges).” He also added that his company has implemented solutions in international markets like Malaysia, Mauritius, USA, and the UK.

Using the existing hardware and software infrastructure, partners create their business applications, which were also showcased in the event. Four of the 19 ISVs participating in the event talked to customers about their applications. These addressed different business needs and hence customers also had a choice to choose which one fit their requirement best.

Mukul further added, “This platform provides ISVs to present solutions to end customers at such a large scale. Going by the final registration, we had 88 customers attending the event.” Pre
