Imation to appoint a national distributor

With the objective to strengthen its relationship with its channel partners
and to mould the distribution process in a way that is more convenient for the
dealers, Imation India has decided to restructure its distribution format and is
planning to appoint a national distributor. Imation currently supplies the
products to the channel partners through its 40 regional distributors located
across the country.

“Till now, we were going to the channel partners through regional
distributors but that has been fostering lot of inconven-ience to our sales team
as well as to the dealers. Hence we have decided to change it,” commented Sanjay
Koul, Country Manager, Imation India. He said that Imation is in dialogue with
few national distributors and will finalize the name in a month's time.
