style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">InTarvo
Technologies has agreed to settle the pending payment of its partners
and will complete the full and final settlement of its channel
franchisees on a priority basis. DQ Channels has learnt that
these payments against InTarvo have been pending for the last 2-3
years. Mostly telecom and even some IT partners are suffering from
the non-payment issue. As per the sources, the outstanding amount
accounts for a crore rupees.

RESPONSE
Reacting
to an email by DQ Channels, which was sent to the company on December
16 for clarification, a company spokesperson said, “InTarvo
Technologies has over 270 channel franchisees who deliver service
support on behalf of InTarvo. This large partner base has resulted in
various issues especially after the external auditors' findings
regarding the spares and supporting management. Though the same is
getting sorted out at each partner's level but it is time-
consuming and with our commitment to our principals of completely
transparent dealings, we are also ensuring that the same is accepted
and reconciled with them.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">With
regards to the partner's issues, the company has asked its partner
management team to have a look at the specific grievance along with
individual project teams so that it can reconcile the pending
spares/inventory/billing issue, and resolve it on an urgent basis to
the satisfaction of all concerned.
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">IMPLEMENTATION
OF ERP
In
addition to that, InTarvo has taken a step towards bringing the
company to level with the requirements of a professionally managed
transparent organization. The management brought in various systems
and software like ERP to ensure transparency and honesty in the
system. It has also brought in highly reputed audit firms to audit
the company's financial dealings.
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">EXITS
FROM TELECOM SERVICES
According
to Sudheer Puthhiran K, president, field services, InTarvo
Technologies, “One of the core reasons for this issue could be that
we are completely out of our mobile phones and telecom tower business
for the last 6 months due to the growing payment issue from our OEMs.
Therefore, it is taking us time to get the payment from our OEMs and
finally to do the final settlement of our telecom partners.
Nevertheless, we will be re-establishing our tie- ups with these
partners depending on their capabilities to do non-telecom business
in future with us. For our IT partners, we are reconciling the issue
and soon we will close their cases. During this time, we also found
that a lot of spares and equipment which were given to our partners
have not come back to us thus resulting in loss to our principals.”
When asked how much amount is pending against the company, Puthhiran
said, “In my context the amount must sum up to a few lakh rupees.
Having said that, we are tracking the cases and our team is working
on them.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">PARTNERS
SKEPTICAL
Ensuring
to take quick resolution on the issue, InTarvo's team started
approaching its partners. Sandeep Bansal, proprietor, Computer People
from Panipat thanked DQ Channels and said, “With the support
of DQ Channels, after a gap of 2 months, we have received a
call from InTarvo's team and they have assured to settle the
payment issue at the earliest. Although the company has told this a
several times to us, but we still have faith in InTarvo and hope to
get our payments.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">PENDING
PAYMENTS
The
issue came into light when Bansal wrote to DQ Channels about
the whole issue. He said, “I have been a partner for InTarvo
covering Panipat, Dabwali, Sirsa, Hisar, Rohtak, Jind and Karnal in
Haryana for more than 2 years and was handling services support for
HP, AOC, ViewSonic, Easy Bill and mobile devices. But for the last 6
months, the company had stopped sending claims. Despite follow ups
with project team on regular mails and phones, the company had
stopped responding to the payment schedule. Hence, we decided to exit
from its business.”
“
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">The
company lacks professionalism and commitment. It held up our payments
without giving us any satisfactory reason,” Bansal claimed. Like
Bansal, another InTarvo partner from Panipat, Sandeep Deshwal, who
faced similar payment issues and stopped its services for last 1 year
pointed out, “This seems to be a serious issue for all of us, and
we all should unite together and take some action against them,
otherwise none of us will get our payment from the company.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">Since
InTarvo is not showing any courtesy to release the payment, partners
have stopped returning their spare parts to the company. Ravi Kumar
of RB Computers added, “We were covering Sirsa market and providing
support on mobile phones including Sony Ericsson, G- Five, Micromax,
etc. We are yet to get a payment of Rs 90,000 from the company. We
have already given back the faulted products to the company. But we
still have a holding of 20% parts with us. We will not release it
until the company pays us back.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">Moreover,
there are partners who are also taking legal course and planning to
sue InTarvo under IPC 420 case. Vivek Chaudhary of Tara Tele and
Mobile said, “Like others, we are going through the same problems
and now we are taking legal proceedings. I have a payment of Rs
18,7430 pending against InTarvo.”
style="font-size: 13pt;" size="3">PROMISING
HEIGHTS
Lastly,
Puthhiran said, “We are a channel company and this issue is very
important for InTarvo; if the channel is not happy with us then we
don't think we can exist in this business. He also asserted, “One
of the dynamics of this business is that it is very complex to keep a
regular track of the high inventories, parts, and labors. Hence, the
problem of partner reconciliation is very common. However, we are
trying to improve the business model for quick settlement of the
payment cycle.”
