In order to cash on the PC buying trend in the forthcoming festive season,
Intel India is positioning its Grantsdale-based processors as an ideal buy for
home and SOHO segments. It will also roll out an elaborate consumer campaign
centered around Grantsdale PCs and will enable GIDs to offer the same below Rs
25,000.

The company believes that with features like PCI Xpress, AGP 4X,
high-definition video and 7.1 Dolby sound output features, home buyers will have
compelling reasons to opt for this technology.

Targeting 40% of overall processor sale from Grantsdale in OND

"We are targeting 40% of our overall processor sale to come from
Grantsdale in OND," said GB Kumar, Director (Sales)-South Asia, Intel. He
added that consumers in the home segment are looking at convergence products and
a Grantsdale-based PC provides just the right solution. "With the number of
festivals in OND, partners can expect to sell these PCs to the home segment as
their inclination to make purchases increases in this period," remarked
Kumar.

He also informed about Intel's plan to train its partners in a very
broad-based manner during this quarter. The company is organizing the Intel
Channel Conference (ICC) across more than 20 cities, beginning October-end.
