Iris bags Rs 25 crore order from Goa Government

Showing a high level of alacrity and keen business sense Iris Computers, distributor of Lenovo's commercial computer business, recently bagged a Rs 25 Crore business order in a single day.

The Education Department of Government of Goa was planning to distribute
15,900 laptops to all Higher Secondary School students under the CYBERAGE Scheme which was introduced in Goa in 2002 by the CM Manohar Parrikar. The share of Iris Computers was 4,000 laptops as there were three other distributors.

Sanjiv Krishen, chairman, Iris Computers said "Spotting it as good business opportunity we flew our senior VP, sales, Sameer Chaudhary to Goa despite being a Sunday. We were able convince all the partners who had won this prestigious order from the Goa Govt to procure the Notebooks from Iris and we could get the entire 15,900 laptops package for Lenovo. Our extra effort succeeded and we obtained the Rs 25 crore deal."
