On the second day of SP Summit, four key members of Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) conducted a panel discussion on ISODA and its activities. Moderated by Biren Shah, other panelist were Devesh Aggarwal, Alok Gupta and Paresh Shah.
Paresh Shah in his opening remarks informed that ISODA along with Nasscom and Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council did a pre-budget meeting for Union Budget 2013-14.
Biren Shah, chairman, ISODA added, "With the strong efforts put in by ISODA the basic problem of taxation has now been resolved which was the primary objective why solution providers across India united to form ISODA. We have been very active in resolving the issue but now, with times changing and profitability and other issues coming up, we need to frame a concrete plan."
Touching upon the recently concluded 3rd Tech Summit in Phuket, Aggarwal said that this year, the entire tech summit was paperless. He talked about the recently developed application by ISODA team and how one can have the entire Tech Summit on his phone with this app. This has been specifically created to include all the information related to the conference. The app (app.isoda.info) can be opened on browser now as the association is awaiting for license approvals from various app stores across platforms which is likely to come in next week.
"The app has been one of the key innovative features. The app was developed in an ad-hoc decision and thus, for the time being has limited capability focused primarily on the summit. However, we are planning to include more useful links and update information on this," said Aggarwal.
Lastly, the association also informed about strengthening and empowering its regional chapters by inducing more interest in the regions and hold frequent meetings.
