Jalandhar association to hold election on April 5

Jalandhar Computer Dealers' Association (JCDA) has elected its election
committee of three members and will hold its annual election on April 5. This
was decided during the recently held meeting of the association.

The members of the election committee include Daljeet Singh, ex-president,
Charanjeet Singh-ex vice president and Shyamal Gupta. The last date of filing
the nomination is April 3.

Commenting on the fact that in the last few years the participation of
members for filing the nomination has been low and only one or two nominations
are filed, Rajiv Khanna, President, JCDA said that dealers do not come forward
to file the nomination because it is an understanding among the members that
they work collectively and there is no rush for grabbing the post of president.

During the meeting, the members also discussed the issue of promoting
original Microsoft products among the end customers so as to promote anti piracy
campaign run by Microsoft. Besides, some of the dealers shared their knowledge
of various products by Microsoft that is not known to the partners on a large
scale.

"It was a half an hour session and was very informative as various
members came forward and shared their knowledge about different IT products by
Microsoft that was not known to many others. Such kind of meetings helps dealers
to understand the market in better way and promote the right product to the
customers according to their needs," shared Khanna.
