JITA to hold IT expo in Jan-Feb '09

Jamshedpur IT Association (JITA) is gearing up to organise its IT expo in
Jamshedpur sometime during the second week of January and first week of February
2009.

Although at a preliminary stage in terms of planning, JITA plans to make the
IT expo a gala event focussing solely on IT, keeping the long-time allied
telecom sector out of the purview.

Commenting on the upcoming expo, Sailesh Singh, Secretary, JITA said,
"Normally, the IT expo is scheduled post Durga Puja. However, this time another
trade fair was held in mid-September with vendor and IT participation across the
city. It would have been meaningless to plan the expo at that point of time.
Thus, we have agreed to re-schedule it for early next year."
