K7 Computing shines at Connect 2009

Chennai: K7 Computing has been recognized as the Best Performer in Software Exports in the Rs 10-50 crore category for the Tamil Nadu region at the recently concluded CII Connect 2009. Kesavardhanan, CEO and MD, K7 Computing received the award from A Raja, Union Minister of Communication and IT.

Speaking about the same, Kesavardhanan said, “It is an honor for us to be recognized as the leading software exporter in this category here. Given the nature of our business, expanding our footprint to more geographies has been a key focus for us and we were extremely gratified that our efforts towards this have been recognized by CII.”

K7 Computing entered into a strategic partnership with Sourcenext in 2003, which enabled K7 to export its flagship product, K7 TotalSecurity. The product has been received tremendously well and the company claims to have the numero uno position in the desktop security space in Japan's sophisticated market for the last three years, with a marketshare of 29 percent. It is further looking to enhance its presence in other countries in Europe and America.

K7 Virus Security won the Proregi Award for the fastest-selling product in the security segment in Japan.
