Kanyakumari traders forms IT association

Post Confed-ITA resellers meet, traders in Tamil Nadu have begun to get
proactive in forming their associations. The latest addition to that list is the
Kanyakumari District Computer Dealers Association (KKDCDA), which was formally
inaugurated on Dec 23, 2007. S Karthikeyan, President, Confed-ITA inaugura­ted
KKDCDA. Subramonian S, President, KKDCDA said,

“We are very excited about getting an exclusive association for our region. This
formation would provide us much support in countering all the issues faced by
traders in the region.”

At present, Kanyakumari has more than 80 organized and unorganized IT
traders, who were earlier attached to the Tirunelveli association. “We have
dealer-distributor issues and a local association would help us to solve these
issues in a mutually beneficial manner. It would also help distributors find
organized partners for business,” Subramonian said.

Apart from forming an association for the traders, the KKDCDA also plans to
support public causes through various activities like blood donations and health
camps.

The association has also planned to release a souvenir during the
inauguration, which would have the database of all the dealers of KKDCDA.
