Kanyakumari traders to form an association

Chennai: Post CONFED-ITA resellers meet traders in Tamil Nadu have begun to
get proactive in forming their associations. The latest addition to that list is
the Kanyakumari District Computer Dealers Association, which will be formally
inaugurated on the 23rd of December. S.Karthikeyan, President, CONFED-ITA will
inaugurate KDCDA. Subramonian.S, President - Kanyakumari District Computer
Dealers Association (KDCDA), said, "We are happy to get an association
exclusively for our region. This would give us the power to counter all the
issues faced by the traders in the region."

At present Kanyakumari has more than 80 organized and unorganized IT traders.
Earlier Kanyakumari was attached to the Tirunelveli association. Majority of the
business comes from educational and home segments for the traders in Kanyakumari.
"We have dealer-distributor issues and the association would help us to solve
such issues in a manner that would benefit both the dealer and distributor. It
would also help the distributor to find the proper and organized partner for the
trade," Subramonian said.

"Our traders operate on wafer thin margins and the association would work
to improve the margins," he added.

Apart from forming an association for the traders, the KDCDA also plans to
support the public causes through various activities like blood donations and
health camps.

The association has also planned to release a souvenir during the
inauguration, which would have the database of all the dealers of KDCDA.
