Kingston appoints Supreme

Kolkata-based Supreme Technologies announced its appointment as the regional distributor of Kingston for their memory/MMC cards and flash drive segment. Explaining the company’s move Vinay Dugar, Director, Supreme Technologies said, “We became the distributor of Kingston products last quarter. And the type of demand we experienced in the last three months has been overwhelming.”

Initially skeptical about this particular product line consisting of pen drives, MMC cards and MP3 players the company finally decided to include the same in its portfolio and is now planning to focus on the new segment. “This is a very volatile business area and we were not focusing much in this segment earlier. But during the third quarter of the last fiscal we could see the demand for this product segment and accordingly analyzed the huge future potential,” said Dugar.

Presently Supreme is generating business worth Rs 30 lakh per month with Kingston products. For the next two quarters the company is targeting to increasing its volume to Rs 75 lakh per month. “This is the fastest growing segment now with a consistent quarterly growth rate of about fifty percent. Therefore we intend to gain maximum out of the opportunity,” he said.
