Commenting on the positioning of the Acer Mall at Salt Lake, Narendra Dhanuka, CEO, Galaxy Computech said, “Over 70 percent software professionals in Kolkata and surrounding areas are employed at Salt Lake. Acer may have an advantage because of its product visibility. With an adequate product mix backed by good after-sales services, it would be easier to spout this customer segment.”

However in the exclusive Acer outlet, HP and Epson printers along with accessories are dealt with. Targeting the SOHO segment as the primary customers, Acer has recently introduced sleek and pulsating designs positioning its features as a counter-offensive move to Dell in terms of product features and sales.

“With most of the business sectors entering an era of stagflation especially in real estate, the IT retail market is left better off mainly because of the higher disposable income and change in customer preference. Nowadays, customers prefer spending more on trendy digital gadgets and related accessories,” Dhanuka added.
