Konishi to replace Grant

Canon India announced Kensaku Konishi as the new President and CEO, Canon India.
Konishi will oversee the company's management and business operations for
India.

“India is an excellent country for any company to be in. I am glad to take
on this assignment at this juncture, as the company celebrates its 10th
anniversary in India. I look forward to be a part of Canon's management team,”
said Konishi.

He joined Canon in 1978 and was a part of management team for production
control and budget, for copiers. Following several senior management positions
in Japan, Australia and seven years in United States, he was appointed as MD-Marketing,
Canon (Singapore) in 2001, where he was responsible for the overall management
of domestic sales and marketing operations.

Prior to his current appointment, Konishi was President and CEO, Canon Hong
Kong Company Ltd, responsible for the strategic management and direction of
Canon's operations in Hong Kong. In this new appointment, Konishi will succeed
Alan Grant who has managed Canon's business in India for last seven years, and
is moving to the United Kingdom post his retirement.
