Kovair enhances its product portfolio

Kolkata: After focussing on building up its channel base in India, Kovair Software is now enhancing its product portfolio by adding new features in its latest version of Kovair Release 6.0.

The company is offering products in both on-premise deployments as well as in the SaaS mode.

Bipin Shah, CEO and Chairman, Kovair Software said, “Kovair Global Lifecycle 6.0 has been re-architected from the ground-up for multi-tenancy for SaaS, multi browser capabilities; better navigation and user-friendly UI to offer the ALM and ITSM solutions in the market.”

The new version incorporates ease of navigation with on-the-fly configurations, replacing ActiveX content by Flash and Ajax in order to provide the better interactivity for any available browser-based applications.

“One of the major themes of new functionality is the visualization and graphical editor. The most visible of the visualization features is Kovair's brand new dashboard with drill-down capability. The graphic editor enables one to visualize and manipulate the relations among various items in a network diagram. The other new graphic diagramming tool is to visualize the version mapping of an item,” said Jhilam Nandi, Manager-Marketing and Sales, Kovair India.

“In the current scenario, we are aiming to add systems integrators (SIs) and value-added resellers (VARs) to further build up our channel base. We will be routing our products through the channel; I have already spoken to many channel players in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai,” he added.

Primarily, the company hopes to appoint SIs with expertise in consultancy nd dealing with clients in the enterprise-level of the service industry. The company is also hoping to tie-up with VARs that deal in ERP, CRM, application management and migration solution and have a strong market reach.

Kovair is keen on concentrating on metro cities in the first phase of the launch.
