Lalani to launch own brand called Kanry

Kolkata based Lalani Infotech is geared up to launch its own brand which will
include a gamut of IT and office automation products. Named 'Kanry,' the brand
will be introduced in the market by the second week of August.

Speaking on the development K L Lalani, Chairman, Lalani Infotech said that
since the company has already established its position as a regional
distributor, launching its own brand will strengthen the company's position in
the field and contribute largely to the growth of the company. "We already
have a strong distribution network across eastern India and are distributing
products of other brands. With the kind of experience we have in this field our
own brand will give us a better margins," he added.

To start with 'Kanry' will include products like cabinets, keyboards, mouse,
power supply, RAM, pen drive within its IT division. For the office automation
range, Kanry will include products like, document laminator, paper shredder,
currency counting machine, fake note detector and document binder. "These
are the initial array of products that we will launch in the market for both the
divisions. Once the brand is established we will increase our offering on
regular basis," informed Lalani.

Kanry will be launched initially in the eastern market and followed by a
national launch by the next quarter. "We are now looking for options and
are developing our network outside East. The work is progressing well and we are
planning to launch Kanry very soon in other parts of the nation," he said.
As part of its national expansion plans Kanry will be launched in the metro
cities first including Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai followed by launches allover at
Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Lalani meanwhile is also focusing on opening service centers for the Kanry
range of products covering the locations where the brand will have its presence.
"We are already prepared with after sales support in places like, Ranchi,
Bhubaneswar and Guwahati where we have our own branches. Apart from that we have
our direct representations at Agartala, Jamshedpur, Patna and Raipur wherein
also we will provide full-fledged support for Kanry range of products," he
informed.
