Lenovo intros IdeaPad U110

Lenovo announced the availability of IdeaPad U110 consumer notebook PC in
India. This is the star of Lenovo's IdeaPad entertainment and fashion-oriented
notebook collection and winner of three Best-of-Show awards at the 2008 Consumer
Electronics Show.

“Customers end up compromising on either looks for technology or technology
for looks. This no-compromise ultra portable notebook from Lenovo offers both.
We're confident the much-anticipated IdeaPad U110 ultra portable notebook will
excite customers and give them a unique and rewarding computing experience,”
said Amar Babu, MD, Lenovo India.

It has a tendril pattern etched into its aluminum lid and the patterned vents
on its base. It also has piano finish on the keyboard. Enhanced by a frameless
screen and weighing approximately 1.05kg, the 11-inch wide notebook's
infinite-like viewing experience, thin and light frame cater to the highly
mobile user. This notebook is 18.4mm thick and has an LED screen which gives
brighter display. The IdeaPad U110 is available in black and red.

The notebook has a 120GB hard drive, up to 3GB of memory, Intel Centrino
processing technology, a built-in camera, WLAN, Ethernet and Bluetooth (select
models) connectivity, an external DVD burner and the Microsoft Windows Vista
Home Premium operating system. It comes with an additional battery for up to
eight hours of battery life. Additionally, Lenovo's Active Protection System
provides durability by temporarily parking the hard drive if the notebook should
fall or drop. Equipped with VeriFace Face Recognition, users can quickly and
easily login without having to remember passwords. Dolby Home Theatre and the
Multimedia Control Center provide good sound quality while putting multimedia
options at the user's fingertips. It combines technologies such as face
recognition, Dolby Home Theater surround sound and gaming controls.
