LG to launch PCs for business segment

Eyeing the corporate segment in the country, LG Electronics India is planning to unveil a series of PCs dedicated specifically towards this
growing segment. "The corporate market in India is growing at a tremendous pace and this launch will mark our
entry towards the business segment. We will be launching these PCs in the coming week," informed sales & marketing
(IT  products) deputy GM at LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd R Manikandan.

Christened - LG Pro PC - the systems would be available in four flavors and initially the company would be launching these
models in six major cities within India. "We are targeting all the metros plus Pune and Ahmedabad for
the initial launch of this product category. As this product will be targeted towards the corporate segment, we would be identifying corporate
resellers in different cities according to the market dynamics," he explained. 

Priced between Rs 17,900 and Rs 26,000, these systems would also be available on a 'Built on Order' model - providing customers with much needed
flexibility. This series is slated to have 40GB(7200RPM) hard disk, 52x CDROM, FDD,
Keyboard, Mouse, 38cm CRT Monitor. 

The PCs will be available with AMD Sempron 2200+, Intel Pentium 4, Intel Celeron and Intel Pentium 4 set of processors.
"These business PCs would be customized to suit our customers needs and would be configured as per the
requirements," Manikandan added.
