Printers and consumables manufacturer Lipi Data Systems is envisioning a channel network comprising of nearly 5,000 partners over the next two years
to sell its range of impact printers, lasers as well as a range of compatibles. Currently, the company works with over 1,800 partners across
nearly 100 Indian cities. "By the end of this year, we will ramp up this

network to include 2,500 partners and plan double it up in two year's time," says Mukul Singhal, CMD, Lipi Data Systems.

He further informs that Lipi would continue to service all these partners directly. "We have developed the in-house expertise to handle logistics and
would continue to engage with our channel on a one-on-one basis. Further our direct presence across 94 locations enable us to reach even the smallest of
C and D-class cities," says Mukul.

The company would also get aggressive on its compatibles business this year. "Our marketshare for compatibles stood at 4% of the printer base last year
and this year we are expecting it to double up at 8%," adds Mukul. He further states that more players in this space are needed to give the
compatibles business a much-desired growth.

Lipi Data Systems also recently tied up with Brother International as its National Corporate Partner (NCP) for selling latter's range of laser
printers.
