Living up to his Commitment

Cherishing a few things since his
childhood, Parag Dalal, Director of Dynacons Systems & Solutions
still loves to enjoy simple things in life-playing with kids,
helping people in need on streets and other philanthropic activities.
Also, having being a determined individual with clarity in his thought
process and the tenacity to
turn his entrepreneurship dreams into reality, the fun loving; ever
smiling Dalal believes that running a booming business enterprise is
an art known to and bestowed upon few. His childhood aspirations of
becoming a successful businessman played a significant role in
nourishing his dream. His dream was fulfilled when he started his own
company, Dynacons Systems & Solutions along with his mentor
Shirish Anjaria, which is now a listed entity on the BSE and NSE.

AN ENTREPRENEUR'S EXPEDITION
BEGINS

Indeed, Dala's journey has been a
very eventful tale. Born in a Gujarati family and being a docile
child, he has always liked to do things in an unconventional manner
but cares about the society at the same time. Having been brought up
in a struggling business family, it was always his dream to have his
own business and pursue a career of his own choice. “That is the
reason I did not join my father's family business and decided to
pursue my career in the field of information technology-which was a
new and emerging field in the mid-eighties,” confirmed Dalal.

After completing his engineering in IT,
he joined the firm Dynacons Consultancy as a trainee engineer. While
pursuing his Industrial Engineering, he graduated as a Senior Systems
Analyst and then handled many software development and implementation
projects initially. Although, he started his career as a Software
Programmer, but he developed an inclination towards systems
integration, networking and customer support. “Many real life
situations also inspired me to take up active role in convincing
customers and expanding my business through marketing customize

solutions,” he added. Thus, in the
early nineties, Dalal joined hands with his Director and
mentor-Shirish Anjaria, and joined the firm SP Corporation, a
partnership company that provides IT solutions to customers. Then
having been geared up with the wave of successful deals that the duo
were cracking, in the year 1995, they started Dynacons Systems &
Solutions, and successfully converted the same into a listed entity
in the year 2000 on BSE & NSE. Having a clear focus and being
confident enough to stand by his convictions, Dalal managed to come
up with such a successful company. “With this initiative, I believe
in offering best of the breed brands and solutions, which help
business houses to stay agile and respond better to changing market
conditions by optimizing business processes, making their IT
infrastructure flexible, and ensuring faster business results,”
emphasized Dalal.

RISING UP TO CHALLENGES

Looking back, Dalal feels that this
stint provided him great opportunities to experiment in his career.
However, he also recalled that the journey was never a smooth one to
achieve the desired goal. “After establishing our
company, the biggest challenge for us is to expand our presence in
other geographies. And, also we now need to explore more business
avenues in order to grow,” said Dalal. And other initial challenges
were to retain manpower and also gaining the recognition from
customers in the market, he added. However, even initially when all
the major players in the IT market overlooked Dynacons, it did not
kill the confident spirit of Dalal, who was smart enough to keep
himself updated on the developing technologies. He, rather, set his
convictions firm and worked hard with his dedicated employee base to
each up to the expectations of his customers in the market. Today, the
aspect he cherished
most about the company was its work culture, where people are
encouraged to think beyond the box
in every aspect of their job.

“LIVE LIKE A WINNER”

He believes strongly on the oft quoted
saying of Diane Arbus-'Regardless of how you feel inside, always
try to look like a winner. Even if you are behind, a sustained look
of control and confidence can give you a mental edge that results in
victory.' According to him, hard work, keen interest in learning new
things and understanding the needs of customers are the three major
factors which have contributed to Dalal's successful career. He
said, “All the successful people around me are my inspirational and
motivational force.
Instead of feeling jealous from others' success, I feel motivated
and charged-up to shape up my career and try to achieve success while
observing other successful people around me.” He further opined,
“For being a winner, does not imply that the person has to be at
his work 24/7, rather he should live like a winner in all the aspects
of life since it is also significant to play a proper role in the
concerned family.” Now, maintaining a proper balance between work
and family, Dalal always make a point to dine together with his
family members. He has some really interesting hobbies and whenever
he finds time for it, he makes sure he doesn't miss out on them. He
enjoys spending
time with friends and family members while watching various movies
and sports, besides going for a long drive with them. He also loves
to dig out time to attend most of his kids' events and performance
in the school. He further said, “I also ensure that on Sundays, I
take my children on holiday trips.”

MANAGING BUSINESS AT PRESENT

Bringing in about 22 plus years of work
experience, today, Dalal has managed to train its employees and also
set up a robust business process framework that the company is able
to bag several successful deals in helping business houses address
challenges in managing their business strategy, change, innovation
and processes. Having created a strong foothold in the IT market and
with channel partners in place, Dynacons ensures that business houses
excel in business and are able to achieve their business objectives
successfully. “Presently I am nurturing our company as a Promoter
and Executive Director-Marketing and Support, and successfully
providing IT infrastructure solutions for large and medium
enterprises and various govt. organizations,” said Dalal.

Talking further on the future business
plans and witnessing the company's growth at an exponential rate,
Dalal affirmed, “In coming months, I see my company with at least
five times growth as compared to the present scenario, and its global
presence as one of the major unbeatable player in the industry.”
