Maveric Systems launches Security Testing Lab

Systems has announced the
launch of their Security Testing Lab in Chennai. Maveric has also
launched a specialized consulting practice around security testing.
This launch coincides with the 10th anniversary of Maveric Systems
and the company has announced aggressive growth plans, with two new
facilities in Chennai. Maveric recently moved into a new fully
equipped research facility at IIT Chennai Research Park, while also
doubling its delivery capacity with an SEZ delivery center at
Guduvanchery in Chennai.

With software-related security and
vulnerability increasingly taking center stage, Maveric has put
together a dedicated R&D team in this area which will operate
from the IIT Chennai Research Park. The delivery teams will be
operating from the security testing lab at Guduvanchery, Chennai.
Under this new practice, Maveric is offering application security
testing, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, network
security, ISO 27001, BCP/DR and PCI DSS consulting. This will enable
Maveric's clients to secure their customer interaction channels,
protect data confidentiality, risk management etc, thereby enhancing
company's credibility and building customer loyalty.

Commenting on the launch of this new
initiative, Ramesh R, Head of Security Testing, Maveric Systems,
said, “Organizations today, are realizing the growing need to
adequately secure the new technologies they invest in, to protect the
interests of their customers and the stakeholders. In light of the
ever changing IT threat scenarios, Maveric is proud to launch this
new security testing offering.” He added, “Over the next year, around
12 to 15 projects are expected to be handled by Maveric, covering
technical security assessments and compliance related needs of
clients.”

Maveric Systems said, “Security testing is one of the strategic and
specialized offering we are adding to our portfolio during this 10th
year of our operations. We have always been on a quest to expand our
services to include all facets of the testing cycle, including system
security. We are looking at generating revenue of around $2 million
over the next three years from security testing and consulting
services from clients in the regions of EMEA and APAC.”

Over the past 10 years, Maveric Systems
has emerged as a leader in the field of software testing, with a
strong presence in Saudi Arabian, Middle-East and UK markets.
Capitalizing on their existing strong foothold in the BFSI segment
across geographies, Maveric's security testing services will also
be offered to clients in the banking, insurance, credit/debit cards,
telecom and other verticals. The introduction of Security Testing
aims to provide Maveric a significant competitive edge over its
competitors.
