Sharing his go-to-market strategy, Champak Raj Gurjar, MD, Maxtone Electronics stated, “Netbook is one product that is witnessing an increased demand from segments including corporate, education, retail and end customers. Hence we resolved to add netbook to our 'His' range of products. These netbooks have Intel atom-based processor with 1GB RAM and weigh around 1kg. We will be shipping around 1,000 units of netbooks initially and depending upon the demand will increase the units further.”

Maxtone plans to further the netbook range of products through its distribution network of over 3,000 reseller partners. Gurjar further pointed that a number of buyers who indulge in basic computing will look at availing netbooks to meet their short-term project needs. In addition, the distributor is also planning to strengthen its focus on the mobile communication products. Following its tie-up with Virgin, Maxtone has recently tied up with TATA Communications for its USB range of products.

“It's very important to focus both on IT and mobile communication products since a single channel will be focusing on both these products in future. We have also tied up with Videocon to further their set top boxes and have appointed over 300 dealers for the same,” reiterated Gurjar.
