McAfee announces total protection for secure business

Mumbai : McAfee
announced the release of the McAfee Total Protection (ToPS) for Secure Business,
a comprehensive suite for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Coupled with
McAfee's '15 minutes to a secure business' a set of McAfee daily practices were
also released. According to recent research from McAfee, over half the
businesses surveyed reported that they were able to spend only an hour a week
managing their IT security. McAfee ToPS for Secure Business provides security
for desktop, e-mail, web and data protection. When this solution is deployed
SMBs can employ the McAfee security management approach to maintain a very
strong security posture in just 15 minutes a day.

"SMBs are under daily attack
from an ever-growing list of security threats, including new forms of malware,
spam and data loss," said Chris Christiansen, Program VP-Security Products and
Services, IDC. "Even though many SMBs believe they have nothing worth
stealing, IDC believes that every part of an SMB network and computing
infrastructure is useful to criminals. Increasingly, we recommend that SMB
customers implement their security protection in suites, rather than discrete
products. This enables them to get the best value for their money, have a single
vendor to work with, and require less administration effort and training," he
added.

McAfee ToPS for Secure
Business includes McAfee's new Artemis technology to shield computer users
against attacks as they happen without requiring a traditional, scheduled update
of threat signatures to be installed on the machine—significantly helping
companies reduce their exposure to emerging threats.
