MD begins training partners for dealers and SIs

AMD Far East India has lined up a 17-city Channel Technology Training program
where company officials will educate over 2000 channel partners and system
integrators (SIs) on the company's technology transition plans for the present
year. Additionally, channel partners and SIs will receive technical training on
64-bit desktops and server products.

The AMD Technology Training program that began on February 4th, will continue
till February 21st, 2005. The program will primarily focus on training over 100
channel partners in each city, on the Athlon 64, AMD's technology transition
and OS and software updates in the desktop segment in the present year.

Further, over 20 channel partners across four locations will be trained on
building 64-bit server ecosystems based on the Opteron processor. The training
will also educate the channel on how the SOHO and SMB segments can acclimatize
themselves to the changing server environment.

Speaking on the launch of this training program, Sanjeev Keskar, Country
Manager, AMD Far East India, said, "In line with our international
commitment towards customer centric innovation, the training program has been
devised to communicate the end-user benefit of our products and solutions to
channel partners. The training program will equip channel partners with the
necessary knowledge and tools to drive the SMB/ SOHO market segment, which is
their primary focus."
