Micro Focus gets new Country General Manager

Focus, one of the leading
providers of enterprise application modernization, testing and
management solutions, has announced the appointment of Akshay
Aggarwal as Country General Manager for its India business. Based in
Delhi, and reporting directly to David Taylor, President of Asia
Pacific and Japan, Aggarwal will be responsible to drive business
growth for the entire Micro Focus business portfolio across India and
the SAARC region. He comes with extensive industry experience of over
14 years in the IT industry, working in various geographies including
India and US.

“Akshay brings to the team a wealth
of technology experience and tremendous management skills. He is well
respected within the Indian IT community and has received numerous
awards and accolades for his work. In this role he will be
responsible for directing and overseeing Micro Focus's overall
growth and expansion efforts in India, and I am confident of
success,” said Taylor. Prior to Micro Focus, Aggarwal spent two
years at Oracle India where he was Director for Sales
Consulting/Presales for the Fusion Middleware line of business and
with BEA Systems for over eight years as Country Head -Systems
Engineering. He has contributed significantly in developing the
domestic market both at BEA and Oracle, and comes with hands on
technical experience working on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA),
Enterprise Social Computing, Middleware and Web technologies,
Virtualization and Databases.
