Most Comprehensive (Gold) & Most Successful SP (Silver): Frontier Business Systems : Mantras For Success

Bengaluru-based Frontier Business Systems bagged two awards recently at the
DQ Channels Excellence Awards. The company was adjudged the winner of Gold award
for being the Most Comprehensive SP and the silver award for the Most Successful
SP.

During the deliberations for the award, the company was nominated in various
categories, this was partly because Frontier has capabilities across the
spectrum thanks to its collaborations with vendors like Citrix, VMware,
PlateSpin, Marathon, Cisco, Tyco, Emerson, Lenovo, IBM, Oracle and Dell to name
a few.

Frontier has maintained a healthy relationship for almost 15 years with all
its vendors. The company however, believes in carving out an identity for itself
and not under the shade of its vendors. It has been striving constantly to
deliver good results and retain its customers. Frontier has always made customer
requirements as its focal point and has garnered lot of brownie points for this.
Frontier offers a whole gamut of solutions from enterprise computing, networking
solutions to virtualization and application delivery. Not many are also aware
that the company has the distinction of being one of the two channel partners in
India to achieve certification for Dynamic Infrastructure, an IBM's Smart Planet
initiative. It is also recognized by VMware as first authorized consultant Gold
partner in India and was adjudged as its 'Model Partner' at VMworld in the US
last year.

Not one to rest on his laurels, commenting about the various awards that
Frontier keeps bagging, CEO Ravi Verdes said, "We believe in ourselves and want
our work to speak for itself. Awards should not help us achieve success but our
performance and delivery should." Last year the company also got the ISO
27001:2005 certificate for its safety and security of information. It also
received LEED CI gold rating in January 2010 for eco-friendly methods
implemented while designing its Bengaluru office.

While last year Frontier was concentrating on server virtualization, this
year its desktop virtualization and managed services. In FY 2009-10 the company
clocked a total revenue of Rs 209 crore and annually spends about Rs 1 crore in
trainings and investments in Proof Of Concepts (POCs). Since the global meltdown
affected business all over the world, Frontier is hopeful that 2010 will bring a
change in this situation. Slowly but surely the environment is looking up for
business this year. By moving into managed services, Frontier has already
managed to strike gold and has signed up with almost seven customers in a month.

While the company has maintained various offices since its inception in 1994
in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin, Frontier is keen on
building a stronghold in Mumbai.
